I am pregnant with baby number two and all the buzz on social media has been about Redsbaby prams. I had never heard of them last time I was pregnant back in 2013 so I decided to investigate.

My last pregnancy I decided to keep the gender of my bub a surprise. This time I decided to find out specifically so that I could organise clothes and decorate the nursery before the new baby arrived. I knew that I would have much less time on my hands with a second one!

My husband and I started trying for our first baby. I was 31 and after six months I started to panic that there was something wrong. I went to the doctor to find out what to do, we got some referrals for testing but she didn’t seem too concerned. We went on a holiday to Bali and when I returned I found out I was pregnant so we never needed to make those appointments.
When I heard about Peppa Pig Playdate I knew I wanted to take my two-year-old son, Mylo and 4-year-old niece, Tully. You will be happy to hear that it didn’t disappoint! We got 9:00 am priority tickets for the Sydney show at the International Convention Centre. Parking was easy and the event staff were very organised.
Baby showers are a great way to celebrate a new life coming into the world as well as helping out the new parents with the vast range of things needed for a newborn. Whether it is a boy, girl or a surprise we have a great range of suggestions for baby shower gifts.
School readiness, it is always a hot topic! I am a primary school teacher and I often get asked by parents about what their child needs to know before starting school. It seems on trend at the moment for people to say, “Nothing! They will learn everything they need to know when they get there!”. This is definitely not the case.
Balance bikes have revolutionised the way we teach our children how to ride a bike. I remember when I was seven years old and my dad took my training wheels off for the first time. We were on holidays in Byron Bay and there was a footpath out the front of our house with a slight hill. He took me to the top, walked along with me and as I started gaining speed he let go and I whizzed down the hill. As soon as I realised he wasn’t holding on anymore I freaked out and promptly fell off. I had no idea at all about balance as I had been riding with training wheels for so long! I am sure this is a common story amongst our childhoods. Lucky for our children the balance bike was invented!
I was given the opportunity to review the LG Cord Zero 2in1. Because I work full time and my husband is a stay at home dad, the cleaning is his job! So I passed it on to him to do the review- here it is, a man’s opinion on the The LG Cord Zero 2in1 😉 (brace yourself- he gets technical!)

When Mylo was first starting solids I made him some basic purees with different fruits and vegetables, he took to food straight away and became a gobble guts. When he reached 6 months I decided that I would start giving him proteins. I started googling for some recipes and ideas. I discovered Annabel Karmel and I downloaded the app. She had so many great recipe ideas that were much more creative and interesting than plain old fruit and veg. I loved making Mylo’s food. I would make up big batches and freeze it, defrosting it as I needed it. I converted all of her recipes so that I could make them in the Thermomix. We have had our challenges with food over the past year, for example when he decided he would no longer eat anything off a spoon and he would only feed himself finger foods. I am very lucky though as Mylo is generally a great eater.
