So over Christmas we headed off on a ‘back to basics’, no wifi/no screens holiday for a week. I really wanted to take the chance to relax and spend time with the family without the constant demand of all the technology we have going on in our house. We went on the holiday with my sister and her family and my dad and step-mum. It was going to be 7 days on the beach; swimming, playing games, getting outdoors and relaxing.
Mums like clothes and I’m a bit obsessed with shopping so I thought I would share my latest loves. I love the fact that all items hide the ridiculous amount of food I ate over Christmas. After having the twins my tummy has never been the same. I shop to cover it. I’m sharing some of my picks that make me feel good and accessories I love! Here’s my style guide for summer!
As I’m sure you know, we LOVE UberKate here at Stuff Mums Like. Shes the original and the best when it comes to handmade, personalised jewellery. Her designs are hugely popular with mums everywhere, and she can even boast some celebrity fans; with Monique Wright, Georgie Gardner, Sarah Murdoch, Jessica Rich, Joanna Townsend, Rebecca Harris, Leila McKinnon, Natalie Barr and Melissa Doyle loving her range. To celebrate her 12th anniversary we sat down with her for a quick chat.
Tully has been in her own room now for about 2.5 years and the whole time it has been half finished. I had lots of grand plans, and spent hours pouring over Pinterest images and stalking Petite Vintage Interiors, dreaming of the magical space Tully’s room could be.But, apart from painting the wall pink and putting up her name in letters and hanging these gorgeous balloons above her bed I hadn’t really got any further.
Two weeks ago I had my first experience with injectables on my face. I attended Laser Clinic Australia Brookvale branch and had an appointment with Victoria.
Victoria sat me through a consultation, which involved some paperwork. I then had a quick chat with the Clinic doctor.
I finally dug out my winter coat last week when it was minus friggin’ five degrees! Ok that’s a bit of an exaggeration but I could have sworn it was nearly close to that when I headed to the park with the boys!!
Luckily for me I have always loved the winter layered look. I felt snug as a bug without resembling something related to the Michelin man and seriously… who wants to add bulk to a post baby body anyway?!
So I thought I would share my simple tips that will have you looking ‘well-layered’ in no time. Here goes.
Tully turned three in April and for the nine months beforehand she had her heart set on a unicorn party- she was completely unwavering about the whole thing. So I set out to create her the most amazing rainbow unicorn birthday party ever- including getting some unicorns to come along!
Everyone in my family has super shiny ‘wash and wear’ hair. They wash it and it air dries in 15 minutes ready to start the day. Me? I have dry hair that isn’t curly or straight. Some days I wash it and it goes into lovely waves. Some days I wash it and it goes into a ball of frizz. Rainy days? Forget it! I often straighten it as I think it looks more professional for work. I have to leave for work at 6:30 am though, it takes about 15 minutes to straighten it, therefore it often ends up in a pony tail or messy bun… and not a stylish one!
