We all overindulge at Easter and that’s just part of the fun! With all the food and especially chocolate consumed over Easter, there is bound to be some leftovers, so make sure they don’t go to waste. Hot Cross Bun Apple Crumble
This hot cross bun apple crumble is so good that I wish I could make it all year round. (Woolworths, please look at having hot cross buns available all the time!) The HCB crumbs add the best flavour to the crumble.
Ingredients
2-4 green apples peeled and sliced (depending on the size of your dish and how much apple you like)
1 cup of Woolworths Fruit Hot Cross Buns (2x HCBs in the food processor will work)
1 cup plain flour
1 cup brown sugar
¾ cup butter
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Peel and slice your apples and place them in the bottom of the dish with a few tablespoons of water.
Combine your HCB crumbs, flour, sugar and butter and crumb with your fingers or in a food processor using the pulse option.
Sprinkle over the top of the apples.
Cook for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
