To create piñata cookies, layer 6 cookies, cutting a small square (or star) in the centre of the middle four layers. Fill the middle with mini chocolates or sweets and stick the layers together with royal icing.
For the present piñata cookies, seperate into batches and colour each batch a different colour. Tie them with a red sour strap.
For the star piñata cookies, use fondant icing on top (stuck with a little water or a thinly spread layer of royal icing) and decorate as you would like.)
This vanilla sugar cookie recipe can also be used for basic biscuit creations- like this super cute Christmas tree. It’s the perfect centrepiece for your Christmas table!
