Last minute Christmas Shopping List
From the Freezer
Ice cream
Everyone needs ice cream at Christmas, but it can be so easy to forget. I love the Blue Ribbon Vanilla or the Bulla Boysenberry ice cream.
Ice
You will ALWAYS need ice, so make sure you have enough on hand to keep all the drinks cold.
Frozen Berries
Frozen berries are perfect to top your desserts or add to drinks. Grab a few bags, they are invluable!
From the Fridge
Cream
Whatever you do, don’t forget your cream! You’ll never be able to make your pavlova or your trifle! Also, great to serve with other desserts.
Maggie Beer Triple Cream Brie
Maggie Beer Triple Cream Brie, need I say more? This is my favourite cheese and it’s only $8!
Custard
You’ll have a naked trifle without your custard. It’s also perfect for serving with your Christmas cakes and puddings.
Milk
If you are a family that gives milk to Santa (like us), then you don’t want to be caught short. Also important for that coffee you’ll be needing when the kids are up at 5 am on Christmas Day!
From the Bakery
Santa’s Cookies
Woolworths Chocolate Chip Santa Cookies are a must have in our house! They are the cutest! And what’s better is 50 cents from each pack sold goes to OzHarvest to help provide meals for Australian families in need.
Fresh Bread
Don’t forget to pick up the fresh bread. I love a sourdough personally but I’m also fond of a baguette.
Bread Rolls
Fresh bread rolls are a great filler for the table to serve with lunch and it helps the food go further.
From the Pantry
Lemon Juice
There’s no time to be hand-squeezing lemons into your Christmas dishes. All you need is Woolworths Lemon Juice. It will only set you back $1 for 250mls and it will save you more times than you can count.
Crackers
Don’t forget the crackers! Some of my favourite are Jatz, Peckish and Sakata.
Napkins/paper towel/garbage bags
Be prepared if you’re hosting at your place. You will definitely need all these things.
Seafood and Deli
There are some things you can only get last minute so don’t forget your prawns! They are best if you pick them up on Christmas Eve if you are wanting fresh ones. I also pick up my feta cheese fresh.
The Bottle Shop
Don’t forget your brandy for your desserts (especially if you want a flaming pudding!) and any other alcohol you haven’t already got.
Here’s our list to download and print for yourself.
Have a fabulous Christmas!
