Last weekend we were lucky enough to be invited along to the premiere of Maya the Bee Movie. The premiere was held at the Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park and it was full of squealing, excited preschoolers wearing these cute Maya the Bee headbands.
Tully had SO much fun- she's obsessed with bees at the moment so it was perfect timing! As we all poured into the cinema we were handed tubs of frozen yoghurt to snack on. On our chairs were cute gift bags with some snacks and magazines and the movie was introduced by the director and then Justine Clarke, one of the voice over actors in the movie and kid entertainer extraordinaire!
The story of a little bee who learns to always be yourself, Maya the Bee Movie is based on the children's book from 1912 and the ABCTV series Maya the Bee. One of the great things is that it was made here in Australia, giving Australian animators the opportunity to work on a feature film project.
So make sure you get the kids out to support the Australian film industry and have fun at Maya the Bee Movie!
