The Royal Easter Show is a family tradition. I think I've only missed it three times in 40 years, and two of those times were because I was giving birth to Easter babies! There are five things we HAVE to do every year:
1. The Baby Animal Farm
The baby animals are our hands-down favourite thing about the Easter Show. Those baby ducks on the slide are the highlight of my year. I remember one year, there were no ducklings on a slide, I'm pretty sure many words were had because they were back the following year and they are still the highlight.
2. Woolworths Food Dome
I'm obsessed with the Woolworths Food Dome. I love seeing the fruit and vegetable displays every year and sampling all the amazing foods. I pop into the Woolworths Kitchen, buy some fresh apples, buy a box of cupcakes from My Little Cupcake, pick up the beef jerky and find some new things to sample.
3. Potato on a stick and curly apples
My kids only want to eat food from a spiraliser when we are at the show! We pick up potato on a stick at the kids fun fair and then spiral apples over at the farm. The apples are only $1 and we go through several. They are so good! The whole Woolworths Fresh Food Kids area is so fun, with loads of kid-friendly activities.
4. Walk the animal walk
From the days of the Paddle Pop lion to now, the animal walk is the first thing we do at the show. We love seeing the show animals and learn about the products that come from them. We look at how the wool is graded, seeing the piglets, looking at the cute cats, watching the cows get milked - the whole farm experience.
5. The Showbags!
What's the show without the showbag hall? As kids, we would get the showbag pull out from the paper and go over it with a fine tooth comb, making sure we got the best deal. Now my kids get on the website to choose their bags, but they are just as excited!
Find your showbags (and everything else) at www.eastershow.com.au

My Mr. 2 has never been to the Royal Easter Show since he was born and his brother's 8th birthday is on the school holiday. It would be fantastic to take them to the show for a very special day to give them some splendid memories.

Growing up the Easter show was my favourite family event of the year, my brother and I would spend hours researching what showbags to buy in our budget.
I would love to start taking my 2 girls this year for a new family tradition.

I would love to take my 3 kids to the show. They’ve never been as it can be an expensive day out.... but growing up my Grandma used to take me each year, sadly she has passed away but I would love the opportunity to start the tradition with my own kids.

I would love to take my three kids (age 3, 5 and 6) to the Easter show. They have never been before (and I haven’t been since I was little) but they have loved it when their cousins got them a show bag last year. I would love the opportunity to take them and experience it for themselves!

Our three kids are 3, 6 and 8,
never been to the show, which they hate!
Tickets this year would be our dream,
to go on rides and eat ice cream!
Pat the animals and visit the dome,
see the shows and when we’ve seen it all head home!

Life is too busy day to day. Between 3 kids and a husband that works full time and long hours we don't get to enjoy each others company.
I'd love to be able to spend a day enjoying the show. The food, the animals, the rides. It would be a perfect family memory to make and maybe the start of a yearly tradition.

We love the Easter show but it can be a very expydsy for a family on a tight budget but wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Our family tradition growing up was to watch the wood chop and buy the Bertie Beetle showbag. Of course you can’t miss the animal pavilions.... gotta check out the big farm animals! 😀

What fun family adventures we could have making memories together at The Easter Show before hubby goes to Nepal.

My kids love to see their grandmothers tapestry’s in the craft competition. She enters every year and if we can we try to go to the show to show her our support.........the dog competitions are a big hit too ( especially the border collies). And then they love to see the other pavilions..especially the food displays. Now that they are older, we would like to try to stay for the fireworks and night show for the first time ever.

I would love to take my children to the Easter show as they have never been before. I would love for them to experience the food, showbags ,animals and rides and my favourite event was the woodchopping where my dad would buy me a meat pie dripping in tomato sauce and we would cheer them on. My dad took me every year until he passed away and since then I haven't been back but I would love to go to the show and create a new and happy experience with my boys.
