Christmas Brownie ingredients
  • 200g butter
  • 200g milk or dark chocolate
  • 3/4cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup plain flour
  • 1/2tsp vanilla paste
Christmas Brownie royal icing
  • 1 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2tsp lemon juice
  • red and green sprinkles
Christmas Brownie method
  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees celsius
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together in a saucepan on medium heat.
  3. Combine all other ingredients in a mixing bowl
  4. Add melted chocolate and butter mixture
  5. Pour into a lined brownie pan and cook for 20-30 minutes.
Christmas Brownie Icing method
  1. beat together all ingredients until combined.
  2. Be sure to keep your royal icing sealed in a piping bag until you are read to use it as it will go hard if exposed to the air.
Creating your Christmas Brownies
  1. slice your brownies long ways down the middle.
  2. cut each side into triangles to maximise your brownie usage otherwise there can be a lot of waste!
  3. once you have your Christmas tree shapes cut then snip a small hole at the bottom of your piping bag.
  4. pipe your icing onto the brownies like tinsel or Christmas lights
  5. dip gently into the sprinkles and keep in an air tight container
