In our house pretty much everyone eats something different. The teenagers are the worst with food, they seem to be on a white food diet. Potatoes, chicken, bread and pasta- that's pretty much their list of preferred food. I don't know what happened to them- I love vegetables and so does therest of the family. But they refuse! They especially love hot chips, but because they are fried with so much oil I only let them have them once a week. So when I was offered the chance to try out the Tefal Actifry Express XL air fryer I was all for it!
The Tefal Actifry Express XL Air fryer uses only ½ tablespoon of oil to cook a large batch of chips (enough to feed the five of us as a side dish. That's a lot less than I use to cook a batch in the frying pan! It's a very large alliance so you'll need so,where to store it. It has a removable bowl and a revolving stirring blade in the centre to keep the food on the move.
It has an easy to set timer and only three buttons which I like. The estimated time for the chips was 25 minutes and it took 30 minutes. They could have had a few more minutes for extra crisp but they were still good. The kids ate them all and didn't even complain about the lack of grease 😉
I served them cafe style with chicken burgers for an easy Saturday night dinner for the whole family. I did sweet potato as well as regular potato because that's my favourite.
All in all think the Tefal ActiFry Express XL Air Fryer will be in use at our house quite a bit. I'm going to try cooking various things- I'm thinking schnitzel next as that's their other favourite (yes more white food!) and then I might try a stir fry for us veggie eaters!

Thanks for the review. I have often wondered about Air Fryers. I love my cooking gadgets but haven't ventured to the Air Fryer yet. Its amazing how it can cook with so little oil - those chips look really good!
