As a busy Mum of two, I must admit that if I don't start my day with my morning coffee it's all downhill from there! Watch out kids and hubby!
When I lived in Sydney and I worked in the CBD, there was always a cafe open that I could stumble into and order my morning coffee from. By the time I walked into work I would feel ready to start the day after my gloriously amazing hot coffee.
And then I moved to the Adelaide Hills. And although I absolutely adore my new lifestyle, I am yet to find a place that opens early enough for me to pop in for a coffee on my way to work!
But never fear - the coffee machine is here! And there are SO many to choose from. I wanted a coffee machine that was easy to use and clean, and created minimal waste and mess, yet still magically created amazing coffee treats to match whatever mood we were in.
I was lucky enough to be gifted the Nescafe Dolce Gusto 'Stelia' Coffee Machine to try and the poor thing hasn't had a break since we got it! It is super easy to use - no manual required (although it does come with one if need be), it's not big or clunky and uses up minimal space in my already cluttered kitchen, and there are so many yummy flavours and coffee styles to choose from. The kids LOVE the Nesquik Hot Chocolate.
My favourite thing though - is that the capsules are completely recyclable. TerraCycle has teamed up with Nescafe Dolce Gusto to provide us the opportunity to recycle the capsules after we use them, and while we are doing that, we can also raise money for our chosen charity. How awesome is that! Not only do we get our beloved morning coffee, but we can also recycle the capsules knowing that all components are being recycled - yes including the coffee - and with every capsule we send in, 2c goes towards our chosen charity.
It's as simple as registering with TerraCycle, collecting and packaging your capsules, printing a shipping label and posting them all to TerraCycle - shipping is free!
All in all, we are super happy with our 'Stelia' Coffee Machine, and are feeling pretty chuffed about the fact we can recycle the capsules and help our chosen charity in the process.
