    Christmas Gift Idea- Cookie Mix in a Jar

    We love cookie mix in a jar! They are lots of fun and they look great. They are perfect for friends and family if you want to give them something with a difference. With that in mind Katie Miln from Something From Kate has created these two cookie mixes and a bonus hot chocolate mix for you to make!

    Hot Chocolate Mix

    ½ cup powdered milk

    ½ cup cocoa powder

    ½ cup caster sugar

    ¼ cup chocolate dark buttons

    4 squares of mint aero

    Mini marshmallows

     

    To make- add everything but the marshmallows in a saucepan with 1 cup water and stir on stove top til melted. Pour in mug and add marshmallows.

    Cranberry, white chocolate and pecan cookie in a jar

    ⅓cup caster sugar

    ⅓ cup brown sugar

    ¾ cup plain flour

    ½ teaspoon baking powder

    ⅛ teaspoon baking soda

    1 cup oats

    1 cup dried cranberries

    ½ cup pecans

    1 cup white chocolate buttons

     

    Fits in 1 quart Mason Jar- layer in the jar in order.

    To make- Heat oven to 180c. Cream ½ cup butter, then add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add this to the cookie mix. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Place small balls onto baking sheet and bake until golden. approx 8 minutes.

     

    Chocolate chip cookie in a jar

    ½ teaspoon salt

    ¾ cup caster sugar

    1 teaspoon baking soda

    ¾ cup brown sugar

    2 cups plain flour

    ½ cup choc chips

     

    Fits in 1 quart Mason Jar- layer in the jar in order.

    To make- Melt 1 cup butter, add 1 teaspoon vanilla, empty jar into butter and mix through 1 egg. Make balls on baking sheet bake til golden approx 8 minutes at 180 C
