Over the years we have done some pretty amazing parties for Tully. (One time we had unicorns in the garden!) But I think her 13th birthday really took the cake! Thanks to Amanda and Matt from Cloud 9 Cruises, Tully and 25 of her closest friends had the BEST party on Sydney Harbour. The boat was such a fantastic space, with a big, indoor area downstairs, a front and back deck and a deck on the roof. I invited along some of the mums and we had the adults zone upstairs while the kids were downstairs. It was great!
Styling Our Cloud 9 Cruise Cat Party
Tully chose a pastel theme for her party so I ordered a bunch of cute pastel things from Temu, while my friend gave me super cute party bags that she had ordered from Amazon. Tully was inspired by the Netflix show With Love, Meghan to do calligraphy name tags.
The boat is so beautiful, and has the perfect space to set up food tables, with a great view of the water. I bought paper lanterns to pop out and put on the ledge on the front of the boat, this created a colourful backdrop, without blocking the view.
Catering the Party
For the food, because I had to travel from home with all the food, I thought it was easiest to build my own grazing platters. I bought six grazing boxes, these ones from I Love This Shop are super sturdy and easy to transport.
To fill them I went to Costco and bought their muffins, brownies and lamingtons. I sliced them up and put them in the boxes with fruit. I also did a cheese, crackers and dips box.
For lunch, the Cruise Cat has a BBQ, so we BBQ'd sausages and served those in rolls. It worked perfectly.
Activities and Entertainment
For activities we had a DJ (my brother in law) and the girls had a playlist and put in requests.
We cruised for about 30 minutes, under the Harbour Bridge (which they LOVED!) and past the Opera House. We then headed over to the beach at Taronga Zoo.
Here, Cloud 9 Cruise Cat rolled out a lily pad for the girls to play on, and we bought along some pool noodles. They had so much fun on the lily pad and swimming over to the beach. It occupied them for a good hour and a half.
