Alex and I were recently invited to “get our sparkle on” and enjoy a preview of the fabulous Barbie in Princess Power high tea The Langham will be putting on from the 30th of March till the 2nd of April in the hotel’s luxurious ballroom.
On arrival we were greeted with bubbles for both of us – sparkling wine for me and a glass or sparkling pink lemonade for Alex.
For a girl who loves pink and Barbies Alex was in heaven.
Guests are encouraged to don their favourite pink cape or their favourite “glam” outfit and enjoy a glam-filled outing.
There was a super hero mask to design and a barbie activity sheet to complete. As well as a Barbie to take home.
On the day there will also be a special appearance by Barbie herself, every little girl's dream come true.
There were separate high tea treats for the adults and kids. Two three tiered stands were placed in front of us. Alex’s had all things “sparkle & glam” laden with butterfly cupcakes, glitter chocolate balls, glam cookies, super sparkle jelly, POW! Pink popcorn cups, sour strip wristbands, boots fairy bread as well as fluffy, freshly-baked scone – and of course washed down with pink lemonade.
The chocolate coated glitter balls were Alex’s favourite, though the scones were a close second.
My stand had a range of yummy fresh sandwiches, smoked salmon, free range chicken, cucumber & cress, egg & mayonnaise & cream cheese & chives. There was also freshly baked scones with jam and cream, chocolate dipped strawberries, candied fruit tea cake, seasonal fruit tart, lemon curd tart & champagne truffles. As well as sparkling wine, tea/coffee.
This was Alex’s first high tea and she was so excited as she knows Mummy is very partial to a high tea and the Langham experience did not disappoint. She is already asking when can we go back and can we take Daddy too.
We had a fabulous afternoon and was a wonderful way to spend some mummy Alex time and create fabulous memories while “Getting our Sparkle On” !!!
Children are $59 each including a take home Barbie gift while adults are $65 each including a glass of premium sparkling wine.
