Out & About- Beauty and the Beast High Tea

With the release of the much anticipated new Beauty and the Beast live-action film by Disney, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth has created a Beauty and the Beast experience for its guests. They have created an accommodation and high tea package that is perfect for your little Beauty and the Beast fans.

We were lucky enough to be invited to experience the Beauty and the Beast high tea at Sofitel Wentworth, so I took Tully and her friend Aimee, all dressed up as Belle, and boy were they excited!

We went during the week so we were the only ones there having the high tea but they had set our table beautifully, with a rose in a glass jar, books and rose shaped napkins in our tea cups. Tully and Aimee were in awe, saying, "I can't believe we have a royal table!" It was just the cutest. At their seats, they had a Beauty and the Beast colouring in pack each, which they loved. They immediately opened it and started colouring.

The staff were so lovely and waited on them like they really were royalty, giving them hot chocolate (and marshmallows) in their tea cups to start off. (Also just an aside to say they served it warm instead of hot which so many places don't do for kids so a huge thumbs up for that.) They were very patient with their over excitement and their requests and made them feel so special.

The Food

Then the food came! Wow- what a spread! It was supposed to serve three but we could easily have served a few more, it was certainly a generous serve per person, unlike a few high teas I have been to. The girls particularly loved the pink macarons, the rose cupcakes and the scones with jam.

After we ate (they don't sit still for long!) we walked around the hotel to explore the Beauty and the Beast set ups around the hotel. They have a Belle dress replica in a glass case that they loved, but their favourite was Belle's reading corner in the library. They had two big, comfy chairs and Beauty and the Beast books to read. I couldn't get them out!
