Tully is in full Harry Potter mode these days. She eats, sleeps and breathes the books and it’s all she talks about. She’s deep into planning her Harry Potter birthday party in April and I hear new ideas every day. (I’m really not sure how to get the actual broomsticks to fly lol!) So when we were invited to the Wizardry High Tea at the Sir Stamford Hotel Circular Quay she LOST HER MIND!
After hearing about it for a whole week, and how she was finally going to try Butter Beer, we finally arrived and from the moment the doors opened it did not disappoint. We were greeted with billowing dry ice as we walked into the dining room and there were props set up for photo opportunities around the room.
When we got to our chair we were greeted with the perfect menus designed as the Marauder's Map, and an acceptance letter from the Sir Stamford School of Wizardry. We were offered a cold glass of Butter Beer (alcoholic or nonalcoholic available) and treated to a few magic tricks by a Wizard. Tully loved being part of the card tricks. She’s still talking about it.
Then the food arrived! We were treated to a whole range; from Philosopher’s Scones with jam and cream to Mad-Eye Macarons and everything in between. Tully was only there for the treats and had a great time devouring ours (and a few from the lovely girls next to us!).
After the food, there was a Harry Potter Quiz. Tully, being fresh to the series, got every question but one! Pretty impressive for a nearly 7-year-old! The staff were fantastic and the whole experience was completely magical. I highly recommend it for anyone with Harry Potter fans in the house of any age.
