Our family recently travelled to Europe and one of our destinations was Paris for Tully's 12th Birthday. We explored the city for four days and then we headed to Paris Disneyland for the day, thanks to Klook! We were travelling with five adults and three kids; two 10 year olds and Tully. Due to our limited time in Paris we had to fit two parks in the one day, and boy did we succeed! We spent 13 hours across both parks and maximised every moment of our time at Paris Disneyland. Here's the rundown on the parks for you so you can plan your perfect Disney Day.
Walt Disney Studios
We started and finished our day at Walt Disney Studios. This is the home of Toy Story, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Marvel Avengers Campus and Toon Studio. There is a mix of rides for younger kids, experience rides and big thrill rides.
Some of our favourite rides were:
Crush’s Coaster - my number one ride. What a blast! It’s the most popular ride at Walt Disney studios so plan your day around it. It's an under the sea adventure with Crush from Finding Nemo. It is a rollercoaster and it's in the dark some of the time but it's not scary and no big drops.
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure - this is a virtual experience that feels like you’re a rat in the kitchen with Remy. It was so fun! You ride in a car shaped like a rat and you participate in a 3D adventure. It's really fun!
RC Racer - This one made me what to vomit lol. But the kids LOVED it. They went back right before closing to have another go. It’s a big house shoe shape so it drops you from high up several times. Not for me lol.
Tower of Terror - this is the one that drops you from a massive height. No chance I was going on it but the kids loved it. Its the same as the Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Disneyland Aneheim.
Disney Park
Disney Park is the original Disney Park in Paris. When we went 12 years ago this was the only park. It's the home of Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Adventureland, Frontier Land and Mainstreet USA. It's very similar to Disneyland Aneheim, but smaller, which makes it very manageable and a great introduction to Disneyland. Especially for younger kids.
Some of the highlights for us were.
Flight of Peter Pan - one of the most popular rides in the park so it always has a long line. I loved this one. You fly across London and then over Neverland. I really like the experience rides and this was perfect for me. The thrill seekers were not as excited though.
Avengers Assemble Flight Force - one for the thrill seekers! This is a roller coaster in the dark. Not for me but the kids loved it!
Big Mountain Railroad - This one is an out door rollercoaster. The kids loved it! I didn’t go because I was watching the parade but I have been on it before.
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast - fight Zurg in a blasting game as you travel along a track. You compete with the person next to you for points. We all loved this one and it was so much better than then the Disneyland Anaheim version.
Disney Park also has the parades and the fireworks. I love the parade, it's such a perfect example of Disney magic.
We had such a fantastic time at Paris Disneyland, it was Tully's cousin's first Disney experience and it was so wonderful to share this with them. They live in London so we don't get as much time with them as we would like so this gave us some great family memories that the kids wont forget in a hurry.
Tully and one of her cousins are Stitch OBSESSED and Disneyland Paris absolutely delivered. We have never seen so much Stitch merch in one place. It was Stitch heaven!
