How To Train Your Dragon 2 is out on DVD!

How to train your dragon 2 1

I have a How to Train Your Dragon MEGA fan. He's four. He's obsessed.
How to Train Your Dragon 2 is out on DHD now and we were lucky to be selected to trial the download version before it hits the market.

As an after Kindy treat I promised Mr J that he could watch How to Train Your Dragon 2 over a few days. I split into 3 days as a massive treat and he was very excited.

The beauty of downloading on our iPad is I could let him have some time away from his sisters and a little treat he didn't have to "share". I'm officially mother of the year!

With lots of "WOW mum" "Dragon rider mum" and "look look look mum" I also pretended to be enthralled without having to watch it word for word, (I get extra brownie points for my excitement) but let's be honest there's no better feeling than seeing the joy on your kids face when they watch or do something they love with you around. It's also not just for boys! I had the twins fighting over having a go to watch it after but sadly they have been informed it's " no it's only MY TREAT"

    IMG_4444.JPG

We are off on a road trip next week and with 3 kids under 5 I'm going to need the back up off handy downloads.

    The story line:
When Hiccup and Toothless discover an ice cave that is home to lots of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves in a dramatic and entertaining battle to protect the peace.
    The Verdict:
    Mother rating: 10/10
    Mr J rating 10000/10
Mr J did not put it down (WIN)

It's definitely age appropriate being a PG and I can see that this on the Christmas list once the little cousins find out!

My son and daughter. We were meant to go see it in the cinema last holidays but my son ended up in hospital with pneumonia and by the time he was well again it was no longer showing at the cinemas. He was good about it but I know he'd be really happy to see it - my daughter too.

I would watch it with my nine year old son. When he is at my home on the weekend we have 'movie afternoon' with snacks and cuddles. It is a good time for me to catch up on the cuddles while he's here with me, and before he gets too old!

Both my boys, Ewan and Damon:) a few months ago we watched it at the drive in together and during a sad moment (won't spoil it for all the mums that haven't yet watched!!!!) we shared a few tears together.....I cry watching adverts so it was no surprise that I shed a few tears but Ewan was quietly sobbing while Damon had his head buried in my chest as he sobbed!!!! Such big tough boys that love dragons:). It's a great movie.

They watch Dragons: Riders of Berk whenever they can, they've seen both movies (I've only seen number one) and now Miss Eight has started reading the books too (yay!). No - scratch that - I'd like to win this prize pack for me. Miss Eight and her Dad are part of a dragon club that I just don't seem to have membership of ... yet. This movie would be absolutely perfect for a family movie night
as both my children love to watch movies and this one looks so right.
my son especially loves dragons and pretends he is is one
and chases after his sister breathing "fire" saying to her "run run run".
my daughter also has been borrowing dragon books from the library
she loves to read (or get me to read) theses amazing written fantasies.
my children love to watch new things and they have not seen this movie
So this package would be perfect gift which would make them smile with glee.

I'd love to win it for my 8 year old daughter who hasn't seen this movie yet. With a 2 year old sister and a dad who works away, she unfortunately doesn't get to go see movies when they are on at the cinemas and tends to miss out on all the fun (as do I so I'd equally love to win it for me lol). I'd love to make a special production of it at home after the little one has gone to bed and use it for some bonding time. Then watch it over and over with them both!

So my husband and I went to see this on the big screen to check if it was too scary to show our obsessed 3 year old. We decided that it perhaps was on the big screen bc so much more impactful, so am busting to get DVD for him. In the mean time, my husband and I have since become big fans ourselves. Brill story and adult jokes that the kids wld never get. Fun for the whole family! I have also been known to be seen crying just watching the trailer. Why can I now cry at anything?!!

Yes it would have been easier to buy her one from the local store, but by making one I am that I know she will cherish more than any store bought teddy. With three girls there is a fair amount of pink in the house, but their four favourite things are gnomes, dragons, pirates and witches. I love that it is not all dolls and tea parties. This Dragon prize will light up her face, as sometimes its hard being the middle child x
