Hands up who constantly dreams about how they will spend their lottery winnings (even if they never actually enter!)? I do… ALL THE TIME! I now own about 20 different houses in various locations, we have all quit our jobs to travel the world, I’ve paid off everything for my parents… we never need to work again! How do you mentally spend your lottery winnings?
This post is in collaboration with the RSL Art Union
This weekend I got to visit a house I also want to win. The RSL Art Union is raffling off this amazing house in Curl Curl, worth $3.7 million – and you can get a ticket to win for $5. This house is spectacular, with views of Curl Curl beach, three levels of the perfect home; with five bedrooms, two living areas, more storage than I could dream of, and an outdoor oasis with a pool and a spa. It comes fully furnished with Miele appliances, a Fisher & Paykel French door fridge, a Nespresso coffee machine, a full home entertainment package, laundry appliances and so much more. Basically, if you win you can just walk out of your old house and into this beautifully arranged new one. (Leave the kids behind though – they will just ruin it!)
So after visiting, I’ve now been imagining what I’ll do if I win the house. I bought one ticket, and it only takes one ticket to win – right? So I’m tossing up between moving straight in, renting it for the $140k a year projected rental income (hello travel budget!), or selling it, paying off my house and living off the rest. Thoughts and feelings? Maybe I’ll just keep it as my solo escape from the kids, where I can have nice things and no small hands are touching stuff. It’s fine to have a beach house 15 minutes from home, right?
My friend came over yesterday and it turns out she’s already found out about the house and has bought tickets, so now we are fighting about who is going to win it. Obviously me lol! We are going to have to fight it out.
All the money raised from this raffle goes to the RSL Art Union, which was created to raise funds for the RSL. As well as supplying us all with great food at affordable prices, your local RSL provides support to returned veterans from recent conflict, as well as those on the long journey to recovery from past deployments, in the form counseling, financial aid, accommodation, rehabilitation and much more.
Just $5 will give you a chance to win this house, and it will help support our returned service people and their families. Enter at www.rslartunion.com.au/Prizes/Draw-359
This draw closes 8pm AEST Friday 12th October 2018. You’ve got to be in it to win it!
