One thing every new parent needs is a good baby carrier- they are wonderful for hands free carrying and baby bonding. Thanks to the lovely people at manduca we have 2x manduca day out with baby prize packs- valued at $525- to give away to our lovely readers.

manduca is the only baby carrier endorsed by the Australia Physiotherapy Association, making it ergonomically correct for both carrier & baby.

    Manduca Lifestyle Highres

Australian babywearing instructor Christine Kininmonth from Fertile Mind has shared with us a few tips on baby wearing- to make sure you're wearing your baby correctly.

    - Choose a carrier that suits your baby’s size and age

    - The best carriers are not always the most expensive, nor do all carriers suit every person. Try a few out if you can. Sling libraries exist all around Australia.

    - Make sure your carrier has instructions, and take the time to read them or watch online ‘how to’ videos.

    - Keep your baby upright, visible and kissable

    - Chat to your baby when they’re facing you. No amount of music and expensive dangly toys replace face-to-face communication with your baby for cognitive development.

    Prize pack details

Country Road Unisex Spliced Bunny Cream RRP $19.95

We've been so fortunate to be given lots of hand me downs from friends, but it would be lovely to have some new, quality items too.

I would love this for my second baby due this year. My first loves riding in her smart trike and hates a pushchair so I think lots of baby wearing will be necessary to get us out of the house

I only managed to 'wear' my first baby until he was 2 months old! I got lower back pain from wearing him and I thought it was because of his weight. Turns out I bought a carrier which was badly designed. Being a first time mum, I didn't know any better. But I am still always secretly envious when I see friends wearing their tots around with no problems! I'd love a Manduca carrier in preparation of Bub #2 so I could experience proper, comfortable baby wearing first hand!

Winning this would be a lifesaver for me! My baby girl has been almost constantly teething for the past four months and can be very clingy, she is now getting too heavy for our wrap so something supportive to carry her would be amazing!

      I've recently found out I'm expecting #3
After I got over my initial joy and glee,
Inside I felt a sense of panic,
Three kids my life will be manic,
How will I get through the day,
Oh crap I've given my baby stuff away,
      STUFFMUMSLIKE to the rescue perhaps,
If I win a Manuca prize pack,
I can carry my newborn close to me,
And toddler-wrangle my others with my hands free!

Now this pack would make for a tremendous day out and about carrying all precious things.! Yes I am talking about our latest addition which is only months away for entering the world and everything that needs to go along for any outing: nappies, wipes, food, clothes, toys and list goes on and on and on. I'd be ever so grateful to have these wonderful items help us get out and explore. Thanks

I would love the Manduca carrier and the other fantastic things that come with this prize pack for a few
reasons. Firstly, being able to have my son so close while enjoying our local natural environment would be amazing - watching him see and hear all the things around us would be heavenly! It would also make going together easier, especially when we take our fur baby with us too! All the other items in this prize pack would be a great way to enjoy a picnic in the park with my little family, couldn't imagine a better way to spend an afternoon. I'd also like to have a go at some local Kangatraining classes and the Manduca carrier would be ideal for this, want to spend quality time with my son as I increase my fitness.

I would love this prize pack, especially the Manduca Baby Carrier as I would enjoy wearing my baby close to me while exploring the local environment of our area. Being able to see her face and expressions when exploring and discovering new areas. (She is 6 months old) I would also love my husband to babywear as he enjoys being out and about with Bub and pushing a pram is not as close as baby wearing.

This bundle of goodies is every mumma’s and bubbas dream for us to use at home or on visits and outings.

The Country Road bunny would be used to cuddle tight and as a comforter when things aren't so right.

The Country Road Terry Blanket looks soft and warm, wrapped up in it bubba would feel safe like he’s still in mumma’s womb.

The Seed grey scarf now that’s a pretty treat for mum and ideal for keeping the focus off mummy’s big post baby tum (working on it!)

The Oi Oi Bag in blue has a pattern so cute and it would hold all the essentials which is beaut!

The Manduca Baby Carrier tops the bundle off. There is nothing better than baby wearing and being face to face to help strengthen a love and bond. Also, the smell of our babies is heavenly and seeing the smiles, hearing baby the babble and coos is a delight.

My 5th baby is due in 5 weeks and as I keep getting told all.the.time "you have your hands full" so I need my hands! Perfect way for bubs to get lots of closeness and cuddles and my old baby carrier has certainly seen better days having been used constantly when the others were little!
