Yesterday we headed to North Sydney to test out some board games by Winning Moves. They are responsible for games such as Top Trumps, Monopoly, Cluedo and Connect Four, as well as my all-time favourite, Pass the Pigs! Tully is just at the age where she is really getting into games- but it can be hard to find ones that are right in her age and ability range. She’s not reading yet so anything with words means she needs parental supervision, so picture games with not too many rules work best.
Today we headed off to the Langham Sydney for their Paddington high tea, celebrating the release of Paddington 2. The Langham is my very favourite hotel in Sydney so it wasn’t just Tully and her friend Aimee who were excited! We love a high tea and we have been sampling them around the city lately.
If you have a little Frozen fan and you are looking to do something fun these holidays then head to the Sofitel Wentworth for their Frosted high tea! To celebrate the new featurette ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure’, they have partnered with Disney to create a frosted winter wonderland, just like Elsa would create!

Last week we were invited to a surprise event at the Botanic Gardens Restaurant – it was labeled as the World’s Biggest Degustation and the invite said that it would be 210 dishes served over 12 hours. However, this was all we knew!
Last weekend the teenagers and I headed to Moore Park to check out Titanic The Exhibition. Now, we are all big fans of the Titanic story (and the James Cameron movie) so we were looking forward to the exhibition. Zali was armed with one of her many conspiracy theories, this time that it was, in fact, the Olympic, Titanic’s sister ship that set sail and sunk. She loves a good conspiracy.
With the release of the much anticipated new Beauty and the Beast live-action film by Disney, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth has created a Beauty and the Beast experience for its guests. They have created an accommodation and high tea package that is perfect for your little Beauty and the Beast fans.
When I heard about Peppa Pig Playdate I knew I wanted to take my two-year-old son, Mylo and 4-year-old niece, Tully. You will be happy to hear that it didn’t disappoint! We got 9:00 am priority tickets for the Sydney show at the International Convention Centre. Parking was easy and the event staff were very organised.
One of my favourite things about Summer is Wind in the Willows at the Botanical Gardens. It’s a magical time of year in Sydney and I love getting about in the evening. We used to go along and see it as children and I took my teenagers as well so it’s great to take Tully and Mylo as well.
Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to preview the Aldi Special Buys that are coming up. Now I’m a little obsessed with the Special Buys so I was pretty keen to go along- and I wasn’t disappointed. To showcase the upcoming Special Buys Aldi rented an amazing waterfront home in Point Piper and filled it with all their products- and it looked AMAZING! The Aldi Special Buys look pretty great when they aren’t all in a crate in the middle of the store. So let’s take a look at what is coming up in the lead up to Christmas and next year…
Four is such a magical age for Disney. We have just booked a trip to Disneyland next year because this age is just so cute! Tully is obsessed with all things Disney Princess (of course) so she’s been talking about going back to Disney on Ice since we went last year!
